The Alliance Initiative is a comprehensive program by the World Sports Alliance aimed at promoting youth development through sports and education, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It comprises three core components:

  1. Building and Operating Academies
    • Establish modern preparatory schools and sports-training centers in each Member State.

    • These Academies will serve youth aged 14–18, offering academic and athletic development within the same infrastructure. This includes dormitories, cafeterias, training and medical facilities, and integrated stadiums capable of hosting live broadcasts and regional competitions.

  2. Organizing Alliance Games
    • Annual competitions known as the Alliance Games will be held either on Academy campuses or at national stadiums.

    • These events bring together participants aged 14–18 who are citizens of Member States, with challenges co-designed by the Academies in partnership with national education and sports authorities.

  3. Awarding Scholarships to Student-Athletes
    • From each competition, up to 25 winners will be selected to receive full scholarships at the Academy, covering academic programs, lodging, meals, clothing, and a living budget up to age 18.

    • After completing their scholarship, student-athletes may compete at other Academies. Successful individuals may receive additional awards—scholarships at the International Academy or accredited institutions—until age 21.

Why It Matters for Our Member-States and Their Citizens

The Alliance Initiative will be implemented across all 34 territories at no cost to Member States and to citizens, promoting equitable access to quality sports and education infrastructure for citizens while supporting the broader United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
