Understanding Business Membership  //

The Agency is your unique platform to attract investments, forge agreements with countries and deliver high-impact results. 

 

Businesses from around the world are partnering with the Agency and the Alliance to create commercial and financial projects in accordance to protocols and economic models established by the Alliance and the Agency. These projects ultimately provide youth access to education and sports, to influence health and well being. So the citizens of Agency and Alliance Member-States can live better lives. 

 

Business membership is open to all – any business, anywhere in the world but applicants to membership will be eligible for election to full membership once they have shown through "Acta non verba” that they support the mission, by participating in the Nektar Challenge and by presenting their organization, their plans and their accomplishments during the IIC in front of other members and Ministers of our member-states.

  • Active business Members may sign the Agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility Agreement (CSR) making the Agency and or WSA a beneficiary party of a portion of their global revenues.
     

  • Business Members are in turn granted the status of Responsible Partners and may become lead business partners on joint-ventures and public private partnerships established with Member-States.

Businesses looking to join and attend the 2022 IIC in Geneva must apply prior June 2022. If you do not participate in the Nektar Challenge but wish to attend the IIC then fill this application form and a member of our team will get back to you.

WSA Membership

WSA is owned by the governments of its member nations, which have the ultimate decision-making power within the organization on all matters, including policy, financial or membership issues. Member-States govern WSA through the General Assembly which makes all major decisions for the organization.

 

Membership is open to all - any individual, private enterprise, International Organization, Government or NGO, from anywhere in the world and members applicants to 

Per its voluntary membership process any Country and State/Province may join and become a member of WSA. Under the WSA Charter, Member-States have no obligation to make any monetary contribution and their obligations are simply limited to

(i)     work with the Agency and other business members to enhance their effectiveness in implementing the SDGs. 

(ii)    attend the IIC and report their activities and progress towards implementing the SDGs.

(iii)     invest in the Innovation Fund or assist the Agency in obtaining financing in some other way; 

 

Individual Member

Individual Member status are granted to individuals who in the private capacity support the Agency in its Mission
 

Business Member

 Business Member status are granted to private enterprises who

Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) that do not have an associated governmental status.

 

WSA Associate Members have no voting rights at the General Assembly meeting, however, they may obtain the right to speak or to provide recommendations to the General Assembly that, if accepted may result in declarations or resolutions of the General Assembly. 

Responsible Member

Responsible Members status are granted to individuals and private enterprises who sign the Agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility Agreement (CSR) making the Agency a beneficiary party of a portion of their global revenues.
 

Business Responsible Members that sign CSRs with the Agency are in turn granted the status of Responsible Partners and may become lead business partners on joint-ventures and public private partnerships established with Member-States.
