Malick Maachi is the founder of the International Innovation Agency - IIA - where he assumed office as its first Managing Director in July 2020. In July 2022, the IIA became a specialized agency of World Sports Alliance (WSA). Since then, Mr Maachi leads the Restructuring Board of WSA where he oversees the restructuring of WSA with the Transition Committee and the transition of the IIA to an International Financial Institution dedicated to supporting bitcoin adoption in the territory of Member-States.

Mr Maachi also holds the position of Managing Director of Nektar where he leads the designs of a technical and financial infrastructure that will permit citizens to build on-chain philanthropic projects in support of the ASP2030 and govern both WSA and the IIA.

Prior to the creation of the IIA, Mr. Maachi founded Digitrade in 2016 (now part of Nektar). As Digitrade's Managing Director, he lead the build out of crypto and financial market applications and provided management consulting services to private clients and international organisations. From 2013 to 2018 he operated Accredited Access, a compliance and enhanced due diligence agency to serve public institutions and private capital market participants.

Mr Maachi began his financial career as a futures trader for trading firms. He launched in Europrop Trading in 2009, a proprietary trading and market making firm which operated globally. In this capacity he managed the set up and financing of trading floors and trading firms globally. He also trained traders. Between 2003 and 2018, he traded global derivate markets independently. 

Mr Maachi is a French and Canadian citizen born in Dakar, Senegal who received his education in France and Canada. He believes in consistent stimulation of both body and mind through sports and education and has gained his expertise in investment banking, technology, finance and international relations through entrepreneurship.
