Where Talent Meets Opportunity

The first and most important pillar of the ASP2030 is the creation of a network of WSA Academies across every Member-State of the WSA.

These Academies will be more than schools or sports facilities. They will be launchpads for human potential—places where talented young people can receive an exceptional education, train alongside the best, discover their potential, and develop the character and skills required to succeed in sport and in life.

Designed for student-athletes aged 14 to 18, WSA Academies will operate as modern preparatory boarding schools and high-performance sports and education centers. Each Academy will combine academic education, elite athletic development, health and wellbeing, technology, leadership, and cultural exchange within one integrated environment.

Each campus will include purpose-built learning spaces, boarding and residential facilities, dining services, medical and professional training facilities, athletic infrastructure, and, in selected territories, stadiums capable of hosting major regional competitions and sporting events.

The Academies will welcome up to 25 new student-athletes each year, creating a community of approximately 100 students per campus at full capacity.

Where stadium infrastructure is included, facilities will be designed to host approximately 2,000 spectators, with international-standard running tracks, jumping and throwing facilities, athlete and medical areas, press facilities, live broadcasting capabilities, and large-format video displays. These venues will become the home of WSA Games, Academy competitions, athletics programs, community events, and other major sporting activities.

But the true value of each Academy will not be measured in buildings, tracks, or stadiums.

It will be measured in lives transformed.

Academies will be developed from the ground up on land made available by WSA Member-States and financed by the WSA. Each Academy will be led by a National Director, operating under the direction and supervision of the President of the International Academy.

National Directors will be responsible for building strong local teams, appointing educators, coaches and experts, developing national strategies, engaging with Ministries and institutions, and ensuring that each Academy reflects both the global standards of WSA and the unique character of its country.

The International Academy will serve as the intellectual and operational center of the network, continuously developing and enhancing WSA's education and sports programs with leading experts in sport, curriculum development, teaching, coaching, technology, and athlete development.

The foundations of these programs date back to international education and youth-development modules developed in 2007, which ultimately contributed to the creation of the World Center of Excellence, now the International Academy.

The next chapter will take those foundations global.

Following the selection of the Host Country of the International Academy, the Implementation Committee of the Alliance (ICA) will lead the planning, design, and construction of the Academy network. Working with experienced national and international project partners, the ICA will oversee complex projects from concept and design through construction and delivery.

The objective is to deliver Academies progressively across Member-States between 2028 and 2030, creating the foundation for a truly global WSA network and establishing the infrastructure required to launch the first Global WSA Games no later than 2035.

From classroom to competition

WSA programs will be delivered in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish, both physically and digitally.

Powered by artificial intelligence and supported by international experts, these programs will combine academic learning with athletic development and prepare students not only to compete at the highest levels, but to become leaders in the world around them.

Students will learn the values of sport and the Olympic movement, explore their relationship to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and develop the communication, leadership, teamwork, resilience, and social skills required to thrive in modern society.

The ambition is clear:

WSA Academies will not simply develop better athletes. They will develop better citizens, future leaders, and a new generation of global sports professionals.
