Suspension of the Executive Office of the President of the Alliance (“EOP”)

The Transition Committee today announces that the structure of the Executive Office of the President of the Alliance (“EOP”) has been suspended until the General Assembly and that the powers necessary to finalise the restructuring mandate of the Agency that were conferred directly on the Agency are now entrusted to the Transition Committee.

The Transition Committee is now responsible for the conduct of the general operations of the Alliance until the organization of the first General Assembly.

To this end, Dr. Medina, Chairman of the Board of Directors is responsible with the members of the Board of Directors to promote the Alliance Initiative and the Alliance Strategic Plan for the period 2024-2030 (ASP2030) to the Ministers of the Alliance and to formulate recommendations to the Restructuring Board and the Transition Committee.
